Kelsi Griffin, a sophomore
at Shelbyville High School, traveled
to Forney High School on Saturday,
February 27th to compete in the
2010 Region III Girls Regional meet.
Kelsi competed in the 165 class
lifting 755 lbs; 330 on squat, 130
on bench, and 315 on deadlift.
Kelsi’s performance
at Forney HS qualified her for state
competition and ranked her 7th in
the 165 class. This regional standing
is grouped with girls from 1A to
5A schools.
The last regional
meet will be held this weekend and
will determine her placement in
the 2A State standings. The State
Competition is to be held March
19th at the American Bank Center
in Corpus Christi . Congratulations
