Shelbyville Band Boosters will honor
Senior band members Friday, November
6, 2009 during the football pep rally,
during a pregame ceremony, and after
their half-time performance. Pep rally
will begin at 2:50 pm. The pregame
ceremony should begin at 6:50 pm.
Parents and grandparents are encouraged
to attend.

From the beginning
of August, every day the band works
hard in the heat to prepare themselves
for marching contests. Despite all
the setbacks from recent rains,
Shelbyville High School Band made
a "1" at U.I.L. Marching
Contest held at Stephen F. Austin
State University on October 18,
2009.
Shelbyville band members put
on their uniforms, did their sharpest
turns and played their best at the
marching contest.

in Shelbyville High School news, freshman
Dexter Vaughn had a great showing
at the State Fair of Texas this year!
He participated in the Youth Open
Boar and Goat shows. Dexter received
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 8th place ribbons
in various showing events during the
Fair.
