Wulf Outdoor Sports® 2010 Big Buck Contest

Wulf Outdoor Sports®, the premier outdoor sporting goods store in East Texas, will be hosting two Big Buck Contests this year, one for Archery season and the other for General season. The Pineywoods Division will be open to the following counties Angelina, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine and Shelby County. The Big 12 Division will be open to Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Kaufman, Ellis, Navarro, Leon, Houston and Freestone Counties.

The Big Buck archery contest which will include a separate division for crossbow hunters begins October 2nd and will close on November 5th and no entries will be accepted after store closing hours on November 6th. The General Season contest which will include rifle, archery and muzzleloader seasons begins October 2nd and will close at the end of legal shooting hours on January 16th, 2011 and no entries will be accepted after store closing hours on January 19th, 2011. Entries may be taken by firearms no earlier than November 6th.

Contest rules are as follows. Entries must be taken by legal means in accordance with all applicable Federal and State hunting regulations. Entries must be taken by fair chase and will not be accepted if taken within or upon high-fenced property. Entries will be scored as Gross typical in accordance with the recognized Boone & Crocket scoring system. Entries must be registered and brought into Wulf Outdoor Sports® during normal business hours. 10 highest scoring entries will be rescored by a panel at the close of the contest. (All scoring determinations by this panel are final).

Entries for the archery contest must be taken during the 2010 Texas Archery Whitetail deer season. The body of the deer must be attached to the head.

Entries for general season contest must be taken during the 2010/2011 Texas Whitetail deer season. Contestants may enter more than once; however, only one entry per contestant is eligible for prizes.

All ages are allowed to enter the archery contest and contestants must be at least 16 years of age to enter the general season adult contest. Contestants must be entered into the contest prior to taking the entry.

Archery contest tickets can be purchased for $15 and general season tickets for $20. All contestants that register will also receive a free Wulf Outdoor Sports Big Buck cap.
