All Center Basketball
Friday Games Cancelled due to weather.
Rescheduled to Saturday.
The Joaquin Rams will
hold their peprally on Friday night
at 6 pm in the JHS gym. We hope you
will all come support the RAMS on
their way to STATE!
Shelbyville Dragon Players
will present its fall dinner theatre
production of "Sweet Dreams"
December 3rd and 4th at 7:00 pm in
the SHS Rock Building Theatre Arts
Studio. Tickets sold out.
Saturday
Football
- The Joaquin Rams
and the Goldthwaite Eagles will meet
Saturday afternoon at 5:00pm in Ennis
for a chance to play in the big show.
The game will be carried live on KQBB
100.5 FM with Don Wall handling the
play by play. Pre-game will start
at 4:50 with kickoff set for 5:00
pm.

The East Texas Wildcats semi-pro
football team has announced
a lunch fundraiser which will be a
gumbo and barbecue lunch
served with a choice of drink. The
cost of the meal is $6. It will be
served on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 11
a.m. until the food runs out, according
to team owner/head coach Chris Thornton.
The Lakes Area Arts League presents
the David Masterson Art Exhibit
with an opening reception
on Sat., Dec. 5 from 3:00 p.m. to
5:00 p.m. at the LAAL Art Center.
The exhibition is open to the public
and will remain on display through
Sat., Dec. 19.

Miss Merry Christmas & Mister
Happy Holiday Pageant will
be held on December 5th at Center
Middle School Auditorium. Registration
at 9am. Pageant at 9:30am. Entry into
the pageant is FREE. (55 contestants
have entered).
Winter
Beauties Pageant will be
held on December 5th at the Center
Elementary School. Pageant is at 10:00pm.
Tickets are $10. No camera allowed.
(50 contestants have entered) Pageant
covered by TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras.
Logansport
Miss Merry Christmas Pageant,
Dec 5th at 1 pm at the Logansport
Elementary Multi-purpose room.
Center
Lighted Christmas Parade
starts at 6:00pm. Look for Santa in
parade.
Fundraisers at the parade include:
Pecans at $8 per
bag sold by the Shelbyville Band Boosters
in front of Charles Collards Eye Clinic
from 4:30 pm until parade ends; Hot
Chocolate or baked treats
for $1 sold by the Relay for Life
in front of Shelby County Today and
the Chop Shop Salon; and Pete
Low's famous Gumbo for $5
sold by the Center HS Junior Class
from 4:00pm until sold out.
Southern Seasons in Shelbyville is
hosting a "Book Swap"
this Saturday, December 5, 2009 at
1:00 pm. For each book that you bring,
you will receive another one of your
choosing in it's place. All books
should be available for trade at 1:00pm
- 4:00pm closing on Saturday.

Pioneer Christmas Parade and Trade
Day on Saturday, Dec 5th
in Historic Grand Cane, LA.

Mt. Olive Baptist
Church in Timpson will present
"THE GIFT,"
a contemporary Christmas Musical by
Dennis and Nan Allen on Sunday morning,
December 6, at 11:00 a.m. Mt. Olive
Baptist Church is located two miles
south of Timpson on Highway 87, then
go west on Highway 415 to the Silas
Community. A nursery will be provided
for children age 3 and under.
Arcadia Church
of Christ will be having
a gospel meeting
Sun.-Wed., Dec. 6th-9th at 7:00 p.m.
each night. Brother Stephen Wiggins,
from San Augustine, will be the preacher.
Arcadia Church of Christ is located
on FM 138 (Lower Arcadia Rd.) about
12 miles out of Center.
Center Christian
Fellowship presents a play
entitled, "The Best Christmas
Pageant Ever." A comedy
