High school
football is
alive and well
in Shelby County.
Three teams
from the county
will enter the
second round
of the playoffs
this weekend.
The Center
Roughriders
will travel
to Huntsville
Saturday night
to play the
Lorena Leopards
at Bowers Stadium
on the campus
of Sam Houston
State University.
The Riders defeated
the Tatum Eagles
last week and
Lorena came
out on top against......Full

The
Center Roughriders
traveled to
Nacogdoches,
Homer Bryce
Stadium, to
play the Tatum
Eagles. Center
started the
game by kicking
off to the
Eagles. The
Eagles returned
the ball to
the 23 yard
line. The
Eagles moved
the ball down
to the Rider
5 yard line
before the
Center defense
held, forcing
the Eagles
to try a 27
yard field
goal. The
field goal
banged off
the right
upright on
the goal post
and Center
got the ball
at their own
20 yard line.
On the first

scrimmage,
