Captain Browning is the
son of Jayne and James Browning of the
Fair Play community in Panola County .
He has been is the USAF since 2001. He
is currently serving as an aircraft commander
of the C-40, a specially configured 737
to carry passengers, usually higher ranking
military personnel, or members of Congress
and ambassadors. He formerly flew the
USAF’s largest aircraft, the C-5
Galaxy out of Dover AFB, Delaware . While
flying the C-5, Captain Browning had well
over 100 missions to Iraq . His present
base and job continues his world wide
status as a pilot.

Jr. is serving in the Oklahoma Army National
Guard at Tulsa . Prior to receiving his
commission Derwin served during Desert
Storm in the forward command mapping coordinates
for troop movement to liberate Kuwait
. After receiving his degree from OSU
and getting his commission, his squad
spent a month in New Orleans providing
security in the 9th Ward for victims of
Hurricane Rita. In May of 2006, Derwin
activated again to deploy to Afghanistan
for a year with the 1st Battalion, 180th
Infantry, 45th Infantry Brigade his mission
was to provide security for the International
Coalition. The first week of June 2009,
he was put back on active duty to train
another group for deployment.

MSgt Kirkwood is the
Non-commissioned officer in charge of
Chaplain Services for the 917th Wing at
Barksdale AFB, LA. He has been a chaplain
assistant for the last seven years. Before
becoming a chaplain assistant, he was
a member of the 917th security forces
for four years. He was a member of the
Construction Battallion with the US Navy
for nine years before joining the Air
Force Reserves. He has served a total
of twenty years in the military reserves.
MSgt Kirkwood has deployed twice since
the attack of 9/11. He was deployed for
45 days to Moron, Spain two months after
the attack. In January 2005, he was deployed
for 30 days to Guam in support of B-52
forces in that region. His major awards

in 2006 with the 10th Mountain Infantry
Division, Ft. Polk, Louisiana and received
the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement

Air Assualt and Repel Master training
and has recieved his Airborne wings. After
Afghanistan he left for Officer Candidate
School and was commissioned in January

Joined the Army and did his basic training
at Fort Benning Georgia . Chris is now
stationed at Fort Stewart in Hinesville
Georgia. Chris has been deployed twice
to Iraq, his second tour he was deployed
to Ramdi Iraq. Chris and the solders of
the 3rd Infantry returned home March 29,
2008 after a 15 month deployment.
Chris is a 2001 graduate of Center High

in Nacogdoches as a civilian and re-enlisted
